Description
Description
This guitar was constructed in the renowned Kalamazoo factory and is in good condition considering its age. It's been modified with a tailpiece conversion and new pot covers, the original tune-o-matic and pot covers are included. The original Tailpiece is NOT included.
This classic guitar features a double cutaway design for easy access to the higher frets and is THE example for semi-hollows. With dual F-holes and a floating pick-guard design, this guitar oozes class. Its thinline body design makes it comfortable to hold and play, this piece has also been modified with a modern tune-o-matic and stoptail system, so it has solid intonation and fantastic tuning stability when paired with its original Gibson tuners.
It is loaded with its original Gibson Super-Humbucker "Tarbacks" pickups in the neck and bridge, paired with 300k value pots, you get a darker sound than expected from these ceramic pickups. A Pioneering pickup for the time and they sound incredible through a cranked amplifier. As a 1977 model, it also includes a coil tap switch for added tonal versatility.
This piece would be great for any collector or player, especially with the authentic tone of its heyday.
This is an antique/commission sale and is not subject to our returns policy.
Pre-Owned: Good for age, Some shrinkage around binding, Checking, small lacquer damage. Some chipping where Tune-o-Matic was fitted (pictured)
Comes with Hard case
