Aria Pro II

The history of Aria Pro II was started in 1975.
The first PE model, the PE-1500 was released in 1976. Since then, Aria has produced various PE models, played by guitar players globally, including Neal Schon of Journey, Gerry Cott of Boomtown Rats and Andy Summers of The Police.

Based on Peter Green's iconic Les Paul, the PE-350PG has an Aged Lemon Drop finish, reverse fitted neck pickup, plus mismatched volume & tone knobs. Featuring a contoured lightweight body, heel-less neck joint and curved top, along with recessed control knobs and pickup switch, the PE-350PG has a legendary look with the qualities that made Aria Pro II’s PE-Series great. Perfect for the blues aficionado.

The Reverse-fitted neck pickup has a unique tone profile due to its' reversed polarity, meaning you will stand out tonally and visually on stage! With mismatched control knob caps and its aged lemon drop finish, this piece has a great and quirky look, as well as being an authentic homage to Peter Green's Les Paul.

Our Thoughts

You might think that artist-inspired models are only for people who love and want to sound like said artist, I beg to differ. As someone who only knows the most famous Peter Green material, I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed the sound and feel of this guitar. I played a little along to black magic woman and got a pretty accurate tone for the song which is impressive considering I was playing through a Blackstar Debut 10 Practice amp.

What I really enjoyed playing on this guitar though was some rocky/metal riffs, as someone who generally plays that kind of style I was surprised at how well the PE-350 handles stuff like Metallica and Trivium. On the other side of the spectrum I tried out some clean jazzier type tones with the tone rolled off on the neck and that sounded great too. The pickups in this thing are awesome not just for bluesy Peter Green licks but a lot of different sounds.

This guitar plays well and sounds even better, very versatile too for an artist-inspired model.
