Description
Description
Just a fraction smaller than a traditional Parlor or O-Body, this new model features specifically sized build parts not just limited to the bridge and pickguard. Small in size but not when it comes to playing with a full 14 frets, 1 ¾” nut and a custom 22.8” scale. The depth of the body is similar to Larrivee's big models, achieving an excellent volume and definition of sound. This would be perfect for smaller players, a travel-style guitar or something different to your typical acoustic.
The revolutionary new 40 Series features the "Scalloped Parabolic Hybrid" bracing design, blending a non-symmetrical scalloped lateral cross-bracing pattern with the tried and true balanced X-Brace system. This means maximum strength using the least amount of material. It's a build that allows even further vibration of the soundboard, while still offering a controlled dynamic bass response.
Larrivee prides itself on being involved in the entire process of producing a finished, hand-made guitar, from log selection on the forest floor to final quality control in their Oxnard, California workshop. Hand selection of the woods has ensured that the top, back and sides perform optimally together.
