Description
Description
This Centenarian Resonator Guitar was made by The Michigan Brand, a subsidiary of Valco (Supro, Regal, Air Line, Danelectro). In the decade of this guitars creation the world also saw for the first time Traffic Signals, Frozen Food, Television, Penicillin and Robotics, flight was born not 20 years before and stainless steel just 4. The amount of history this guitar has seen is shown all over it and you can tell this has been played a lot of that time.
This guitar has also been converted to a slide guitar, we are unsure when in its life this happened though it seems to be somewhat improvised. It also features wonderful vintage style hand painted binding, a skill lost to time but very much on display with this guitar. The build materials of this guitar are somewhat hard to ascertain since these were built with whatever available materials there were at the time. We think it may be a Birch Ply body with some sort of Maple or Birch on the neck and possibly rosewood fingerboard.
Comes with Original Hard Case and a few Slides.
This is a Antique/Commission Sale item and as such not subject to our returns policy.
Pre-Owned: This is an Antique guitar around 100 years old, it's been heavily played in that time and has many signs of wear. From numerous scratches and dings, to some lacquer damage and cracking on the fretboard most of which are pictured. The case is also very well worn.
