Description

The DOD Looking Glass is a versatile overdrive pedal built around a hybrid class-A discrete FET circuit with asymmetrical clipping. It covers a wide range of territory — from clean tone shaping, glassy boost, and light overdrive through to the raw, saturated sounds of a vintage amp pushed hard. The circuit is responsive enough to shift between these extremes with pick attack alone, without touching a knob.

A collaboration between DOD and boutique pedal maker SHOE Pedals, the Looking Glass was designed by Christopher Venter, known for his unique circuits and minimalist approach to classic effects. The INPUT FILTER control tames overly bright guitars and interacts with your pickups to help you cut through the mix cleanly. A pre-drive BASS CUT and post-drive TREBLE control give you precise tone shaping before and after the gain stage, so you can retain clarity or dial in raw, raunchy tones as needed. True bypass keeps your signal unaffected when the pedal is off, and the standard power supply input makes it easy to add to any pedalboard.
