Wire

Wire

Good wire is the foundation of any clean, reliable guitar build. Whether you're rewiring a control cavity, replacing a pickup, or building a pedal from scratch, the quality of your wire directly affects signal integrity, ease of installation, and long-term durability. We stock the two types of wire most commonly used in professional guitar wiring — braided push-back and braided shielded — both pre-tinned for easy soldering.

Braided 7-Core Push-Back Wire

Vintage-style braided wire with a push-back string outer layer — the standard choice for internal guitar wiring. The braided sleeve pushes back to expose the conductor, eliminating the need to strip insulation and making soldering faster and cleaner. Pre-tinned for immediate use.

  • 3-Pack (1m Black, 1m White, 1m Yellow) — the most practical option for full rewires; matches the colour coding used in our wiring kits
  • Individual 1m lengths — available in black, white, and yellow for top-ups or single-run replacements

Braided Shielded Wire

Metal outer braid with a pre-tinned inner conductor — designed for runs where electromagnetic shielding is needed, such as pickup leads, long internal runs, or builds in high-interference environments. Flexible enough for tight control cavities and complex routing.

  • 1m length — ideal for pickup wiring, output runs, and any signal path where noise rejection is a priority
