The Digitech Whammy 5 is the next evolution of the legendary Whammy pedal, delivering the classic pitch-shifting sound guitarists have relied on for over 20 years — now with polyphonic chord tracking, expanded intervals, and true bypass. Use the expression pedal to sweep your pitch up or down by up to two octaves, from subtle bends to dramatic, extreme shifts that no other pedal can replicate.

The headline addition is polyphonic Chords mode, which lets you bend entire chords up or down while keeping every note perfectly in tune — a first for the Whammy. Classic single-note mode is retained alongside nine Harmony 2-note interval settings and two Detune modes. True bypass ensures your signal passes through completely unaffected when the effect is off, making it a clean addition to any pedalboard.

Connectivity includes 1/4" inputs and outputs, a MIDI input for external control, and a 9V DC power input. Audio conversion runs at 24-bit/96kHz for smooth, high-quality pitch-bending. The all-metal chassis, pedal, and footswitch are built to handle the demands of regular gigging.
