Description
The NU-X Voodoo Vibe (NCH-3) is a compact mini uni-vibe pedal inspired by the Dunlop Uni-Vibe — the effect closely associated with Jimi Hendrix's expressive 1960s performances. Two modes are available, switchable by holding the footswitch: Vibe and Chorus. Smart tap tempo is built in for rate synchronisation.
NU-X's DSP algorithm replicates the character of the original Uni-Vibe circuit while running on a standard 9V supply (the original required 18V). The digital implementation also resolves the volume drop issue present in the original Chorus mode, while retaining the warm, organic feel of the effect.
Intensity knob – In Chorus mode, adjusts the depth of the sweeping effect. In Vibe mode, adjusts the degree of pitch modulation.
Speed knob – Lower settings (counterclockwise) produce slow, sweeping modulation. Higher settings (clockwise) produce a rapid, shimmering pulse.
